| 109 | Author: de Lange, Adrianus Petrus Recipient: File in the town of Alkmaar, The Netherlands Date Of Letter: 7 Sep 1832 Other Data: Copy on file in records office in Willemstad, Curaçao, Dutch West Indies Memo: A copy of the letter is on file in Willemstad, Curaçao: Before me the notary Adrianus Petrus de Lange in the law district of Alkmaar in the province of North Holland appeared the honorable Adriaan van Daalen, "ridder van de orde van de Nederlandsche Leeuw" (this means he had been decorated with a medal by the king in the "order of the lion"), captain in the Dutch Navy and his wife Helena den Berger, who are living in the Langestraat in the town of Alkmaar. They have been required by the government to give their consent in the planned marriage of their son Adriaan Frans van Daalen, lieutenant in the navy, at the moment on his majesty's Korvet Hypomenus, which is in the West Indies to miss Jane van der Meulen, about twenty two years of age, living without occupation in Curaçao in the West Indies in order that the marriage can take place. Done and passed in Alkmaar in the mentioned house of the couple today on september 6th, 1832. And have both and the notary after reading the paper in presence signed the original which shall stay in the files of notary de Lange, already mentioned. Was signed by A. van Daalen, H. den Berger. S.A. de Moraaz, notary, A.P. de Lange, notary copy and registration, registered in Alkmaar the 7th of September 1832, part 29, page 184 recto, part one, received 80 cents for registration, totaling with the 38 cent, 1 guilder and 10 and a half cents, the accountant signed de Crane handed over for copying A. de Lange, notary seen for legalization for the signature of Mr. A.P. de Lange, public notaryu in Alkmaar by us president of the court of law in Alkmaar on September 8th, 1832 | Source (S183)

Aunt Emma and Uncle Christian sent me a splendid Black Satin or something [drey] Mrs. [Bandy] is making it for me. They wished me to have it made at [] sent every thing to make it up. In the year 1889 there happened on the first of October at eight fifty five in the morning at City Hall before me Antonio Geanservigi, Secretary delegated by the Mayor with effect of the 12th of November 1881 duly approved official of the government of Community of Ferrara the tenth office in Baura and comprising and including Erucelinda of the years 26 [...] living in Baura, she told me that at ten nineteen am on the 28th day last month in the house found in Canalarzi St at number 190 of Assunta Annetta Claudi, housewife, wife of Vitorio Bemporad, merchant, both of whom live in Ferrara was born a baby boy that she told me was given the name of Ferruccio Riccardo. Accordingly there were present at this act who are witnesses Alessadro Calzolari, 39 years old, doctor, Giuseppe Tavarini, 31 years old, student doctor, both of whom reside in this community. The declarer has said the above mentioned birth [...] to have in the [.............] and in place of the husband of Assunta Annetta Claudi who was not able to speak up for himself because he was away from Ferrara, the location of his domicile and that of his wife, given the present event to all the participants [...] have signed with their name. His profession is a businessman, he resides in this borough, he states that the baby girl has been born in this borough at an address on the street called Triumfo, which address is located between a street called San Juan and a street called the Angelitos, on the first day of the current month of June at two o’clock in the morning: that she has been named Rosa Amalia and that she is the legitimate daughter of Mrs. Obdulia Roldan who is a dedicated housewife, and resident of this borough. This document has been prepared at ten thirty on the morning of this very day. Witnesses to this act are Francisco Luzon and Luis Maggi, both of over twenty one years of age and residents of this borough. During the British occupation from 1800 until 1803 he served in government for the British and had renounced his oath to the Batavian Republic (The Netherlands). Because of that he was put in front of a Military Tribunal in the Netherlands. They wanted to banish him for the Republic and all of its possessions but instead he was dismissed because it turns out he had already resigned from office before the occupation.
