  Biography	His reign was from 26 October 899 until 17 July 924. Edward, like his father took the title King of the Anglo-Saxons but this is often referred to as King of the English. He regained much of the land his father had lost and eventually ruled almost all of what is now England again. He died fighting a Welsh-Mercian rebellion.
