  Biography	Hugh was count of Tours and Sens during the reigns of Charlemagne and his son Louis the Pious. But, in 827 he was told to recruit an army to fight a Moslem invasion on the boarder of the kingdom and Moslem controlled Spain. He waited until the threat passed which earned him the nickname "Timidus" or "the Timid". The next year Louis deposed Hugh. Hugh maintained some prominence though since he had arranged for his daughter to marry Louis' son Lothair.
