Biography |
- He was the Duke of Saxony from 912 and German king from 919 until his death. He was the fist of the Ottonian Dynasty of German Kings and Emperors. He is also thought of as the first German King. He got the name Fowler because when he found out he was to become King he had been fixing his birding nets.
